Creating a Brighter Future
"A child doesn't care how much you know,
until they know how much you care".
Bridges Preparatory Academy will offer an inclusive, rigorous, college-ready and trauma-sensitive education that will provide ALL students with the academic and social-emotional skillset to excel in high school and beyond.
Bridges Preparatory Academy students will be confident, disciplined, proactive leaders who will successfully transition into institutions of higher learning and become integral and influential “agents of change” in society. As responsible citizens who understand and participate in the democratic process and recognize its value in a global context, BPA students will develop a foundation in critical thinking skills of application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. BPA students will cultivate attributes critical for all 21st century learners: communication, technology utilization, collaboration, critical evaluation, opportunity evaluation, and emotional intelligence.
Bridges Preparatory Academy will have full-time Counselors on staff and a full-time Psychologist. Our intent at Bridges is to serve those students that have not found success in traditional District schools and those who already have left, or will leave the District in search of an alternative, and those who will leave school altogether. For these students, and others who simply seek a more personalized, student-centered education, we endeavor to help them grow psychosocially over the beginning of their crucial adolescent years so that they develop the resiliency and motivation they need to persist in their schooling.

Bridges Preparatory Academy is proud to open interest admissions for the next school year. Read below for information on the enrollment process, and academic requirements. Feel free to get in touch to learn more.
Bridges Preparatory Academy will be an open enrollment, tuition-free public school. BPA will admit all pupils who wish to attend the school up to enrollment capacity. Enrollment to the Charter School shall be open to any resident of the State of California but there are no specific admission requirements for the school (e.g., minimum grade point average, test scores, discipline records, etc.).
Parents and students admitted to the school will be requested to attend an orientation session to review school policies and procedures and learn about the opportunities provided by the school, but their attendance or lack of attendance does not impact their student’s admission.
Our highly personalized, student-centered model will include Individual Learning Plans for every student; data-driven differentiated instruction including online adaptive learning programs, project-based and problem-based collaborative learning; daily 90-minute Learning Labs (four days/week) for real-time intervention and support for all students, including English Learners and students with disabilities; double block Math in 6th grade and double block ELA in 7th grade; daily Advisory all three years with social-emotional learning via the acclaimed Way of Council program and personalized one-on-one support from our advisors and counselors, who will “loop” with students for three years to ensure students are well-known; a Multi-Tiered System of Support for academic and behavioral support and intervention with PBIS in our trauma-sensitive model; and more
